Family Photos in Studio in Kamloops, BC

The nostalgia that film photography brings up for me (and maybe you) is why I prefer to photograph people using film. It brings me back to the days of looking through old family photographs; the dreamy, grainy, perfectly-imperfect quality of film is magic.

In this day when most things are instantaneous or often expected to be, the additional time that is involved in the process of film photography acts as a beautiful reminder for all of us to slow down and be present in the moment.

Silken and Ary met me at this beautiful studio to capture their current stage of motherhood and childhood on film. It was a lovely and relaxed afternoon of snuggles and cuteness.

If you are a photographer in Kamloops, BC and are looking for a studio to rent periodically, Lisa's Studio Two is an excellent option. I have utilized her studio in downtown Kamloops for maternity, newborn and family photos over the last two years and it has always been a great experience.

If you are interested in adding colour or black and white film to your digital session you can find pricing and more information here. Or if you are wanting a film only session please contact me for more information.

These photos were taken on a Nikon F100 with Kodak Portra 160 film stock. The film was developed and processed by the impeccable Canadian Film Lab.
